Maximise your eyelashes
Attractive eyelashes can enhance your beauty and make your eyes look bigger. If you have naturally big eye lashes then you can enhance their beauty by applying eye makeup. If you have small or less eyelashes you can still make them appear bigger by using fake eyelashes. Now you can forget those short, brittle eyelashes that don't boost your eyes. Before you extend your eyelashes it is necessary to know how. Below there are some guidelines which will help you to maximize your eye lashes.
Natural eye lashes:
1. If your eyelashes are light or thin, use volume mascara. Its comb will make your lashes thicker.
2. For shorter lashes, extra length mascara will give length to your lashes
3. If you are not sure about your type of mascara, great lash mascara is the best option. This mascara has waterproof and it separates lashes with every stroke. You can ask your retail beautician for these mascaras
How to apply your mascara?
1. Firstly, you need to curl your lashes. Curling your lashes makes your eyes appear wider and brighter. Blowdry on the mascara curler for 3-5 seconds to warm it up before curling lashes. Touch it first to make sure it's not too hot.
2. Curl your lashes 3 times: once closest to the eyelid, once midway up the length of the lash and a third time towards the tip of the eyelash.
3. Twist the mascara left to right at the base of lashes. Mascara placed near the roots of the eyelashes gives the illusion of length.
4. Pull the mascara up and through lashes, twisting as you go. The twisting separates lashes.
5. Allow the first coat to dry and apply a second.
6. Close the eye and place the mascara on top of lashes and pull through to remove any clumps.
Applying to bottom lashes
If you want to make eyes appear wider, apply mascara to the bottom lashes but make sure you give lashes a light touch. Put a tissue under them before application to prevent smudging mascara underneath the eye.
Blink and double check once dry
Try to wait five seconds before blinking after applying mascara or you'll end up with mascara dots along your lid. Cited: all4women, 2011.
For fake eyelashes, follow this guide:
1. First of all measure them, if they are wider than your own natural eyelashes then you should trim them with sharp and small scissors.
2. Now apply a very thin line of eyelash glue along the base and let it sit for 1 minute.
3. Look into a mirror and apply fake eyelashes above your natural ones and be careful that they are as close to your eye lash line.
4. With the help of fingertips, tweezers or a toothpick adjusts them.
5. Now wait and let them dry. Once they dry curl them with eyelash curler.
6. After that give them final touch with eye make-up.
If you do apply the fake eyelashes properly nobody will be able to guess that they are not your natural eyelashes. After using them you should take care when removing those from your eyes, as your eye lids are very sensitive part of your body. Always remove them by eye makeup remover and cotton swab.
To properly remove eyelashes follow these steps:
1. Apply the eyelash remover with cotton swab on you eye lids then wait for the glue to soften.
2. After making sure that the glue has been soft, slowly try to pull the eyelash from your eyelid. You can also used petroleum jelly with warm water to remove them. Cited: Latestgirls, 2011.
