Father Christmas

On Christmas Eve from his secret lair in the frozen tundra of the North Pole, the man known as Father Christmas (aka Santa Claus aka Kris Kringle aka Santa aka Sinterklaas aka Pere Noel), leaves his hidden base.

His mission is fairly simple. He will deliver before the night is gone, presents to every child in the world as long as they are on his nice list. For those rascals who appear on the naughty list, they will unfortunately wake up on Christmas morning to a lump of coal.

His method of travel is a sleigh drawn by nine special reindeer. There were originally eight, namely Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder and Blitzen. But Christmas Eve there was a massive snowstorm and a reindeer called Rudolph (who has a glowing red nose) was called to lead the way.

The millions upon millions of toys that this jolly old man gives away are made by his workforce of elves. All year long they merrily cobble together delightful toys which bring joy to the children of the world.

In the background of this all is the ever-maternal Mrs. Claus. She is the organiser of this global endeavour constantly checking the naughty and nice lists, plotting the flight pattern of the sleigh, insuring the toys are marked properly and getting Santa dressed.

This brilliant team of professionals ensures that every Christmas is a joyous one.
