Samm Marshal
Samm Marshall is a South African television presenter well-known for hosting the e.tv reality charity show Let's Fix It, since December 2005. He was born in Cape Town with his twin brother as well as another brother, Bobbie Brown, a well-known news anchor on Kfm. His career on TV started when he was working in Ratanga Junction. He had an agreement with his brother Bobby Brown who was working for Cape Talk by then. Samm agreed to go to his brother's work every morning and then he would leave after the staff have arrived. This happened for some time and before he knew it he would stay later. He said one day the news editor, Andrew Bolton, called him in and offered him an opportunity to work as an intern. That's how his TV career started.
From then he became a late night DJ at Fine Music Radio, a music compiler and producer for a popular jazz show. Later he joined Good Hope FM as weekend Breakfast Show host. Through the period he got a presenter position on e.tv's magazine programme called Heita. He co-hosted Morning Edition on e.tv as well. Currently he is hosting the very popular reality show called Fix it. Sam plays as good person assisting those in need. He says "this show is about love, respect and acceptance and a bit of making things better for people that really need a breakthrough in life".
Sam also described himself as caring and passionate about people. Furthermore, he said he is fortunate to get to do what he loves. He also love singing and hope to make this part of his career in the future. Sam has been facing so much heartache and sadness from the show. As a result the stuff that he has heard in this show has made him very scared of having children. The world is cruel and although this show has highlighted that to him. And he learned to focus rather on the positives of helping communities and people.
Recently, Samm announced that he and his fiancee Lauren Williams will be tying the knot on the 28 November 2008. They've been preparing for this wedding for three and a half years, the time has finally come.
