Valentines Day

Valentine's Day in Modern Times

Over time, Valentine's Day has become a time to celebrate your romantic partner.  These days, it is a very commercial celebration, with the media and retailers spurring us on to wilder and wilder extravagances.  Whether you buy up a whole store, or one small chocolate, or even just take a moment to tell someone how special they are to you, use the day to recognise those you love.  And if you are taking the opportunity to do that, then also realise that loving those around you is not a one-day-a-year task, but rather something that takes a whole lifetime to achieve.

Some food for thought - maybe we should consider declaring this our Valentine's Year!
