"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince" is the sixth book after "the Order of the Phoenix" and like the others, has been made into a movie. The movie is still dark and contains many scary parts (including one death), but the mood is lightened by love (several couples get together and "snog" i.e. kiss, this year) and the magical fights are not quite as intense.

As we approach the penultimate instalment of the series, dark days are here, indeed. Voldemort is back, and his Death Eaters are everywhere, wreaking havoc in the magical world. Dumbledore calls on Harry to help retrieve a memory of young Voldemort from Professor Horace Slughorn, a potions instructor who lives to teach would-be famous students.  Dumbledore believes Prof Slughorn holds crucial information. Meanwhile, Draco Malfoy has been named the bad guys' Chosen One, and is given a mission that, if successful, will overturn the side of good.

The characters have indeed grown and a sense of maturity and teenage hormones are setting in. Ron and Hermione are at one another's throats after Ron gets an aggressively affectionate girlfriend. Harry's a bit of a girl magnet, but discovers he has feelings for Ginny Weasley, his best friend's sister.

Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

The movie was released on the 15th July 2009, and the hype is yet to die down. The above is just a quick review on the "Half-blood Prince".  Many people follow the movies, just as many read the books, so we do not want to reveal too much and spoil it for others.
