Many of us think that men are less concerned in their looks than women. Well the research has proved us wrong. Taking care of physical appearance has become very important to men these days. Healthy skin tips:-

  • It is important to keep the skin clean. Men have oily skin and larger pores than women. That means male skin gets dirtier. It is very important to wash your face using cleansing products. You should avoid deodorising soaps on your face. Cleansing products should be chemical free.
  • A good facial scrub is important for healthy, clean skin. It removes the dead cells and smoothes the surface of your face. Don't forget to moisturise your skin after cleansing and shaving. Pure vitamin E or aloe vera oil is recommended for this purpose.
  • Toning is as important as moisturizing your skin. It keeps the skin healthy, clear and firm. It is important to maintain the elasticity of the skin. Toners with glycolic or alpha hydroxy acids work best for toning the face.   
  • It is important to treat your skin. It depends on your skin type and also the season of the year. There are so many types of skin treatment in the beauty shops; it can be difficult to choose the most suitable for you. It is important to know your skin type and what your skin needs.  All skin types need to be exfoliated (this means removal of the dead cells that form everyday) to maintain its elasticity. If you want great looking healthy skin drink plenty of water at least 1.5 litres a day.
  • A well groomed male needs to learn how to shave properly. The art of the perfect shave is disappearing fast. Shave after a shower or use plenty of hot water. Don't use a disposable razor, use a good quality razor, a Mach 3 or a double edge razor. Invest in a shave brush and use a good quality shave cr?me and apply it with the brush. Shave with the grain and always apply a non alcohol based balm to finish. If you're grooming a beard get it done by a barber. To remove a beard try shampooing it in the shower first, then use clippers and finally shave.

  • Exercise also plays a big role in developing and maintaining a healthy body. It is important to exercise regularly to increase oxygen supply to the tissues. This keeps the skin looking young and healthy.
  • A healthy diet is important for a healthy body. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables because they supply the skin with essential vitamins and minerals.

  • Hair in your ear lobes and nose can be embarrassing. If you want to get rid of that unwanted hair you need to wax your ear lobes regularly.
  • Going for body massages will be beneficial; it improves your blood circulation and tones your body while it relaxes your muscles.
  • Manicure and pedicures clean your hands and feet and keep them in good shape.

  • It is important to wear clean and ironed clothes at all times. There's no point having a fit and healthy body if you dress it with dirty, crumpled clothes. Wearing clean clothes helps you feel good and confident.
