Gospel Music
Gospel music is music that is written to put across either individual or a public belief regarding Christian life, as well as (in terms of the varying music styles) to give a Christian choice to normal worldly music. Gospel music has a history which can be traced to the 18th century. During this time, hymns were lined and repeated in a call and response fashion and the Negro spirituals and work songs came on the scene.
