Road Closures during the Cape Argus Cycle Tour

This Sunday, the 14 March 2010, is the annual Cape Argus / Pick n Pay Cycle Tour. There are quite a number of road closures planned for the day, as more than 40 000 cyclers will make their way through our beautiful city.

Business: ICT- A Key Enabler and Driver

ICT has opened doors for Christina Marule (65), a spaza shop owner. Christina used to close her spaza shop to go out and buy stock. She had to travel 32 km to the nearest wholesaler in Burgersfort to get her goods. She would leave the shop unattended for the day and lose hard-earned income and profit. Due to her age, she would sometimes lose her stock in the taxi, coming home empty-handed. Now she uses her cell phone to not only order her goods but also to pay for them at the end of the month.
