Services for TB Patients
The Department of Health has adopted the World Health Organisation's DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment Short Course) method to ensure patients take the treatment. DOTS has been implemented in most clinics in the Western Cape. They give support and encouragement to TB patients for the entire six-eight months treatment period.
