Malaria
Malaria is a life-threatening parasitic disease. It is transmitted by the adult female Anopheles mosquito. Malaria occurs in tropical and subtropical countries throughout the world, but is most common in sub-Saharan Africa. As such, it is a disease which affects mainly the world's poorest populations.
