Testing
Cancer is usually recognised by symptoms or through screening. If there is a suspicion of cancer, s/he will be further investigated by medical testing. Testing commonly includes the following:
- CT scan
- Complete blood count (CBC)
- Blood chemistries
- Biopsy of the tumour
- Bone marrow biopsy (for lymphoma or leukemia)
- Chest x-ray
