The latest available statistics from the National Cancer Registry state that one in four South Africans will be affected by cancer in his or her lifetime.
It is further reported that 20 000 South Africans are infected by skin cancer every year and over 700 South Africans die each year from skin cancer. Additionally, South Africa has the second highest incidence of skin cancer in the world after Australia.
