Iziko labazali is a centre for parents which was established in 1983. It is a non- profit organization working mainly in the Western Cape. It provides education and training workshops, home-visiting programmes, community talks, support groups as well as parent counseling.

The aim of the centre is to facilitate safe and healthy emotional development of the child from birth to early adulthood. It also promotes the well-being and self-esteem of the parent/ care giver.

The centre provides the following services:

• Individual counseling programmes
• Parenting skills training programmes
• Teenage parenting programmes
• Support group for mother and toddler, mother and babies, and teenage mothers
• Community education and awareness
• Training of trainers
• Behavior management training programmes
• Parent-infant home visiting intervention
