9000 people from 2500 informal settlements have been severely affected by the floods in the last week. The City Of Cape Town's Disaster Management Centre has provided emergency shelters for affected communities. If you are able to assist, schools, supermarkets and non-profit organisations are collecting food, clothes, blankets and monies to assist the unfortunate people who have been displaced by the floods.
The good news is that the SA Weather Service has pledged that the weather is set to improve as from tomorrow. We are expecting sunny weather for tomorrow and Friday.
