Wesfleur Library, Atlantis
The Wesfleur Library, situated in the heart of Atlantis, services a vibrant community who are avid book and internet users. Wesfleur also has an extremely friendly staff and are overseen by Principal Librarian: Mrs. Hearn.
The library has a big children's section which offers a variety of books to choose from within this category. For children, Story Hour is popular with creche`s and are offered twice a week by appointment. The library also gives book orientations at primary schools within the area and encourages learners to make use of the library to complete and do research for their school projects.
For Adults, Mills & Boom seem to be a favourite, but you can find Westerns and any other novels that interest you. The Library has a visual media section, and music and DVD's can be taken out on loan and be kept for a day. All libraries offer the facility to renew the books via telephone, including Wesfleur.
Wesfleur Library has an adjacent hall for community purposes, but is also available for businesses for a small fee. Amongst other things are the popular Tea Mornings and the availability of Daily Newspapers and Weekly magazines. SmartCape is also available and provides free 45 minute sessions for Library card holders.
This year, the library celebrates its 21st Anniversary. We would like to take this opportunity in congratulating Wesfleur Library, staff and patrons in contributing to its success, and wish it many more years of servicing the community.
