Rocklands library celebrated its 30^th anniversary on the 29^th October 2010 in the Rocklands Civic Centre (Minor Hall). The theme of the evening was 'celebrating communities'. All the role players who made Rocklands library successful were invited. Those involved were community organisations, local government organisations, schools, Educare centers, libraries, local communities and government organisations.

The evening was sponsored by local shops and organisations from near and far. Rocklands library won an award in 2008 for the "Most involved community library" from the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport and again in 2009 for "the Best Children Services".
