Mamre Library
Mamre is situated between Atlantis and Darling on the West Coast and is well known for the Moravian missionaries from Germany that stationed itself here in 1808, Kohrhammer and Schmidt.
The library endorses this community's rich history which is also home to a National Monument. Mamre is a small community with a vibrant presence of young and old mixed together. The library staff are friendly and always assist users in their needs.
The library has lots to offer, to name a few: Story hour is on Friday afternoons at 3pm, it has a wide range of DVD`s and VHS tapes to keep you entertained and even more on the Book Shelves to keep those windy and wet days stuck away with a book. Library staff also visits local Creches' within the area about twice a month and offers a holiday program for when school children are on holidays. Some of those activities include: craft classes, reading skills classes and other creative activities for the season.
SmartCape is also available at this library and 45 minutes are allowed per library card user. Business users may get extra sessions if the work stations are not too busy.
