Allan Gray Orbis Foundation High School Student Scholarship
The Allan Gray Orbis foundation is looking for South Africa's brightest grade 6 learners to shine their way through high school with scholarship opportunities. This scholarship is available to financially needy learners, who are currently in Grade 6, to complete Grades 8-12 at selected leading private and public high schools from 2013 onwards.
The Foundation awards student scholarships to Grade 6 learners on the basis of their academic performance and involvement in extramural activities, with particular emphasis on financial need of the applicants. If you apply for a high school scholarship, you will undergo a rigorous selection process which includes, amongst others, assessment tests as well as qualitative interviews with you and one of your parents/guardians as well as a fun-filled 1.5 day selection camp. Applicants must show exceptional ability and potential in Mathematics and English.
The scholarship includes:
- School tuition, book allowance and boarding fees
- Home travel, uniform, stationery,
- Clothing and other allowances
- Personal and Entrepreneurial mindset development
