A Tax Clearance Certificate is a document issued by the South African Revenue Services (SARS), confirming that you do not owe them any money.
Do I need clearance from SARS to submit government tenders?
You will usually be required to provide a tax clearance certificate from SARS with your tender response, especially for government tenders. You can obtain a tax clearance certificate from the SARS branch office at which you are registered, or you can apply online at the SARS website.
