The City's Economic and Human Development (EHD) Department is responsible for monitoring  Cape Town's socio-economic inequalities, promoting local economic growth and initiating job  creation and poverty reduction measures. It does this via a range of projects and programmes, such as Small Business Week, and  Business Voucher Support Programme.
